PSU - Plumbing & Accessories
PSU is not in the market to provide all the plumbing supplies for a pool, it would cost more for than if you went to your local Home Depot, Lowes, or Menards to pick up these items. While these place have the fittings you need, make sure they they are deep walled schedule 40 fittings!
If you are installing a complicated or water intense pool (waterfalls, fountains, spa & pool combo, multiple locations) we recommend using 2" pvc and fittings. 2" pvc will provide you with a great circulation with little noise. If you aren't getting into a complicated pool build, we recommend 1.5" pvc. A pool with 1.5" plumbing, a 1 hp pump, and 24" sand filter will filter roughly 50 - 60 gallons a minute . . . enough water circulation for a 20' x 40' rectangle pool.

Hard Pipe Schedule 40 PVC :: can be purchased at just any hardware store in the US for less than we can ship it; for that reason we don't sell it.

Valves
Never lube valves are the best and more reliable valves on the market. The amount and type of valves you get depend on your pool setup.
You need a 2-way valve for each water feature (slide, waterfall, fountain, jet), if you don't have any water features then there is no need to valve off the returns.
You will need a valve for each of your suction lines (skimmer, main drain). If you have one skimmer and main drain, then a 3-way valve works perfect. If you have more then one skimmer, it is recommended that you get a 2-Way valve for each skimmer and main drain.

Actuators
Actuators allow you to program your automation system to open and close Valves with the touch of button. Advanced systems with water features and multiple bodies of water benefit from the use of actuators.

Check Valves
Check valves are to be placed after the heater, but before your chlorinating unit. This prevents any water to flow back into the system once it is turned off or the pump looses "prime".

Water Returns
Your pool kit will come standard with 2 water returns, however we recommend putting an extra one or two in the step. Having a return in the step will keep them a little cleaner.
Standard pools have 3 - 4 returns and are positioned with the skimmer to create a positive circulation. Good circulation to the skimmer removes the dirt off the water surface before it can settle to the bottom of the pool.
