PSU - Miscellaneous Items
PSU now has the ability to offer you everything you need to complete your pool the correct way.
Vermiculite is the correct and best way to line the bottom of your pool. It covers imperfections in your dig, adjusts elevation and makes liner replacements years down the road much easier.
There are companies that will sell you filters with no sand, salt generators with no salt, no safety ropes, or tell you to use glue and primer from any home improvement store. The correct glue and primer to use is made for pool and spas, of which we have for you.
Pool-Krete:
Strong Manufacturing makes the best vermiculite on the market and is much better than ever using sand. It might be cheaper to do so, but it isn't the best way to do it. Your liner has the opportunity to wrinkle, move, or wear down as the liner moves on the sand. Yes, the liner moves when you walk on it . . . it isn't much, but it moves allowing the sand to rub away on the liner.
The amount of Pool-Krete depends on the accuracy of the pool dig. If you dig is over dug 1" throughout a 20' x 40' pool, you will end up needing an extra 20 - 30 bags.
Generally we recommend the following:
70 Bags for 32' long pools
90 Bags for 32' - 38' long pools
110 Bags for 38'+ long pools
While Pool-Krete isn't cheap, it is better to have more than you actually need. It is more expensive to ship out 10 bags at the end of your project, then it is to order extra and have it shipped with your pool kit.

Filter Media:
Sand filters are the mos common and easiest to use filters on the market. Cartridge filters offer clearer water quality, but require more more. DE will give you the best water clarity, however require weekly maintenance.
Our sand filters come standard with 400 - 500 lbs of sand, most other kit distributors DON'T even offer it. What good is a sand filter with NO sand?

ZeoBrite Filter Media:
ZeoBrite is a replacement for sand in your sand filter and give you a better swimming experience. ZeoBrite last just as long as sand (5-6 years) and is all natural . . . it has been said that you can put it in your garden for fertilizer when it loosing it's cleaning ability in your filter.
